形態特徵

• Erect herbs, to 70 cm tall; stems square, angles obtuse, groove between angles prominent, glabrous or sparsely minutely-hairy, puberulent at nodes.
• Leaves sessile or subsessile, blades 6–7 cm long, 1.5–2.5 cm wide, elliptic to narrowly ovate, base cuneate to obtuse, apex acute to acuminate, margins serrate, minutely hairy, lower surface puberulent throughout, glandular dotted.
• Inflorescences axillary, of loose verticillate cymes, densely flowered, bracteoles small, subulate or narrowly triangular, both surfaces glabrous, margins serrulate or ciliate. Flowers sessile or nearly so; calyx campanulate, glabrous, 5-toothed, 3–4 mm long, teeth narrowly triangular, equal, spine-tipped, ciliate; corolla campanulate, 4-lobed, tube shorter than or as long as calyx; fertile stamens 2, erect; anthers 2-celled, parallel; staminodia 2.
• Nutlets obovate, apex rounded-truncate, base broadly cuneate, smooth, ca. 2 mm long.

分布

• 台灣 : often growing in marshy places.
• 世界 : Japan, Korea, China, Manchuria, Sakhalin, Ussuri and Amur.
